University of Texas Law School, Townes Hall Building - Auditorium Renovations

As part of a two-phase initiative, Phase 2 focused on the renovation of four auditorium classrooms during the summer of 2024, spanning from May to August. The renovation involved several key upgrades, new acoustic wood paneling was installed to improve sound quality, while new ceilings and lighting modernized the spaces. The classrooms were fitted with carpet flooring and donor signage was incorporated to acknowledge contributors.

The project also included the addition of new desks and moveable seating and significant enhancements were made to audiovisual and information technology systems, alongside necessary mechanical and electrical upgrades. New writable surfaces were also introduced.

One of the main challenges was the tight schedule, with a deadline set for July to allow the AV team to begin their installations. To meet this deadline, the construction team adopted a rigorous seven-day work week. Any issues that arose during construction were addressed promptly, ensuring that solutions were implemented quickly to avoid delays and keep the project on track.
