Project Details

We supported the demolition of the Biology Greenhouse on UT campus. The project aimed to completely remove the Biology Greenhouse while preserving the adjacent main building. This involved demolishing the historic greenhouse structure and the foundation built from a Lord and Burnham Conservatory kit in 1929. Safety was a primary concern throughout the demolition process. Implementing stringent safety protocols was necessary to protect workers, students, the surrounding environment, and near by structures. Scope of work was to remove asbestos, lead paint, and ensure the electrical and plumbing systems are made safe. Protection of existing plants and trees was crucial during this project and not disrupting the adjacent infamous UT Turtle Pond that was built in 1939.
