Project Details

QA Roofing successfully completed a complex roofing project for the University of Texas Law School, covering approximately 13,000 square feet. Our team carefully removed and cleaned the existing tiles before installing two layers of ISO insulation and a CDX cover board. These materials were mechanically fastened to the concrete substrate, exceeding all wind uplift ratings. To improve the building’s energy efficiency, the roof was raised by 7 inches, significantly increasing the R-value.

We reinstalled the original tiles and upgraded the roofing system with new copper sheet metal at all detailing points, including dormers. Additionally, we installed a new internal gutter system, utilizing PMMA and copper. This comprehensive project was completed on an accelerated timeline during the UT summer break, ensuring that the school’s operations were unaffected by the renovation.
