Project Details
The project scope involved demolishing the existing asphalt and installing new base material to regrade the area for a new parking lot for UT-PTS. A significant challenge was the tight timeline; we needed to complete the project before another construction project commenced across the street.
The scope included laying new asphalt, installing light poles, preparing for new gates, and adding car bumpers. We also handled striping, signage, and the repair of an existing leaking water line. In addition, new sidewalks, curbs, and gutters were installed, along with two new driveways and crushed granite landscaping, which required coordination with the City of Austin (COA) for right-of-way (ROW) work. To reinforce the parking lot at the lower end, we installed a 60-foot retaining wall.
